The settings in this section determine how guests will accrue points and redeem available rewards on their orders.

Setting Options and Description

Accrual Rate

This setting determines the dollar amount a guest spends to accrue one point.

For example, if you set the Accrual Rate to $5, your guests will earn 1 point for every $5 they spend.

Conversion Rate

This setting determines the dollar amount value of 1 point.

For example, if you set the Conversion Rate to $0.50, your guests will receive a $0.50 discount on their order for every point they redeem.

Accrual Target

This setting determines the minimum number of points a guest needs to accrue before they can redeem the points for a cash discount on their order.

For example, if you set the Accrual Target to 25 points, guests will have the option to redeem their points only when the points balance in their loyalty account is greater than or equal to 25 points.


In the Bonus points you offer section, you configure ways in which guests can earn additional points through your loyalty program. The toggle corresponding to each bonus shows whether that bonus is currently on or off.

Select the pencil icon corresponding to a bonus to access settings.

Signup Bonus

Setting Options and Description

Bonus is active

This setting shows whether the sign up bonus is currently on or off. To offer a sign up bonus, turn on the Bonus is active toggle.

Bonus amount

This setting determines the number of bonus points accrued when a guest signs up for your restaurant's Toast loyalty program.


Birthday Bonus

Setting Options and Description

Bonus is active

This setting shows whether the birthday bonus is currently on or off. To offer a birthday bonus, turn on the Bonus is active toggle.

Bonus amount

The setting determines the currency amount of bonus value available to the guest.

Redemption Limits

This setting determines the time period during which the guest can redeem their birthday bonus. Select one of these options from the drop-down menu:

  • Birthday Only: The guest can redeem their birthday bonus amount only on their birthday.

  • Birthday Month: The guest can redeem their birthday bonus amount on any day during their birthday month.

  • Custom Dates: The guest can redeem their birthday bonus amount for a certain number of days before and after their birthday, including the day of their birthday. You specify the number of days in the days before and after birthday box that appears once you select the Custom Dates option in the drop-down menu.

Description

The description of your restaurant's birthday rewards bonus program displayed to guests when they are prompted to sign up on their Toast loyalty account web page. Select one of these options from the drop-down menu:

  • Default description: The default description is displayed to guests.

  • Custom description: A box appears once you select this option in the drop-down menu. The custom description you enter into the box is displayed to guests.


Day Time Bonus

Bonus is active

This setting shows whether the day time bonus is currently on or of. To offer a day time bonus, turn on the Bonus is active toggle.

Bonus amount

This setting determines the multiplier that is applied to the accrued points when an accrual is eligible for the bonus. Select one of these options from the drop-down menu:

  • Double points: Select this option to double the points the guest earns on their order.

  • Triple points: Select this option to triple the points the guest earns on their order.

Bonus day(s)

This setting shows the day(s) on which the Bonus amount multiplier is applied to points accrued by guests. Select at least one day when guests will accrue bonus points on their purchases.

Bonus time (optional) > Start time

This setting, if configured, determines the time at which guests start accruing bonus points on the day(s) you choose to offer bonus points.

Note

The guest's order must be created during the bonus time period to earn bonus points.

If you configure this setting, you must also configure the End time setting.

Bonus time (optional) > End time

This setting, if configured, determines the time at which guests will no longer accrue bonus points on the day(s) you choose to offer bonus points.

Note

A guest whose order is closed after the end of the bonus time period is still eligible for bonus points if their order was created during the bonus time period.

If you configure this setting, you must also configure the Start time setting.
