Management group

A management group represents your entire corporation in the Toast platform and it functions as a container for your corporation's restaurants. All of your locations must reside in the same management group. When the Toast on-boarding team creates your Toast POS account, it creates the management group for you and adds your locations to it.

To further organize the restaurants in a management group, you can use the restaurant groups feature described in Restaurant groups and sub-groups. Restaurant groups and sub-groups make it easier to manage your locations and allow you to share information among your locations. All restaurant groups are linked to their parent management group. While management groups and restaurant groups are closely aligned, they are separate and distinct entities.
