Updating Location Settings for the Management Group

When you select your management group in the View settings for drop-down box in the Location section, the updates you make to the configuration options in this section are applied to both one-time and automated campaign templates.

How one-time campaigns and templates are affected

The changes you make to the configuration options in this section are immediately applied to all one-time campaign templates. Note that existing drafts of one-time campaign emails are not updated to reflect your changes.

How automated campaigns and templates are affected

You can choose to apply your changes to these configuration options to some, all, or none of the automated campaign templates. When you select Save and apply updates after making changes, you are prompted to select which automated campaign templates you would like to update. You can choose to update some or all automated campaign templates. You may also choose to skip this selection. If you choose to skip, your changes to the configuration options are applied only to the one-time campaign templates used by the management group.

Important

If you choose to update an active automated campaign's template, the active campaign will be stopped immediately. You must start a new automated campaign after making these changes.

To update some or all campaign templates from the Toast Marketing settings page

  1. Access the Toast administration back-end, and then select Marketing > Email Marketing.

  2. On the top right corner of the Toast Marketing dashboard page, select Settings.

  3. In the Location section of the Toast Marketing settings page, select your management group in the View settings for drop-down box.

  4. Update the desired configuration options. You can update more than one configuration option before proceeding to the next step.

  5. Select Save and apply updates.

  6. In the dialog box, clear the check boxes corresponding to the automated campaigns whose template you don't want to update.

  7. Select Save & apply.

    Your updates are now applied to all of your management group's one-time campaign templates and to the automated campaign templates you selected. Note that all the restaurant location-specific templates remain unchanged.

To update only one-time campaign templates from the Toast Marketing settings page

  1. Access the Toast administration back-end, and then select Marketing > Email Marketing.

  2. On the top right corner of the Toast Marketing dashboard page, select Settings.

  3. In the Location section of the Toast Marketing settings page, select your management group in the View settings for drop-down box.

  4. Update the desired configuration options. You can update more than one configuration option before proceeding to the next step.

  5. Select Save and apply updates.

  6. In the dialog box, select Skip this step.

    Your updates are now applied to all of your management group's one-time campaign templates. Note that the group's automated campaign templates, and all restaurant location-specific templates remain unchanged.

If you excluded an active automated campaign type while applying your updates, you can update that campaign's template from its details page.

To update a specific active automated campaign template

  1. Access the Toast administration back-end, and then select Marketing > Email Marketing.

  2. On the Toast Marketing dashboard page, select Manage > View Details corresponding to the active campaign whose template you want to update.

  3. In the Campaign Details section, select the pencil icon to make edits.

  4. In the dialog box, review the message that informs you that the campaign will be stopped and select Edit.

  5. In the Design section, select Reset design to apply the changes you made in the Location section.

  6. In the dialog box, review the message that informs you that resetting your campaign will discard any prior design and content changes. Select Reset Template.

  7. Select Start Sending to start the automated campaign.

    The automated campaign template is now reset to reflect the settings you configured in the Location section.

If you excluded an inactive automated campaign type while applying these updates, you can update that campaign's template from its details page.

To update a specific inactive automated campaign template

  1. Access the Toast administration back-end, and then select Marketing > Email Marketing.

  2. On the Toast Marketing dashboard page select Create Email Campaign.

  3. In the Campaign Details > Design section, select Reset design.

  4. In the dialog box, review the message that informs you that resetting your campaign is an irreversible action. Select Reset Template.

    The automated campaign template is now reset to reflect the settings you configured in the Location section.
