Menu Breakdown

To provide counts of items sold and insights into the performance of your food and beverage programs, the Toast POS system offers a set of reports that you can use to assess and investigate product sales. Owners and managers can use the menu breakdown reports to evaluate the performance of their products for a month, quarter, year, or any other historical timeframe.


The menu breakdown reports include transactions completed through two days in the past.

The menu breakdown reports include:

  • Product mix breakdown: a comprehensive overview of sales, grouped by either sales category or your menu hierarchy.

  • Menu top sellers: at-a-glance reports of your best-selling products.

  • Menu drill-down reports: deep-dive lists of selected products sold.
