Resetting multi-factor authentication

When you reset multi-factor authentication for your Toast platform employee account, you can choose the configuration options for multi-factor authentication as if you are setting it up for the first time. You can reset multi-factor authentication if you want to change the way you get secure authentication codes or if you have lost access to a device you use for getting authentication codes. For example, if you lose the mobile device you have configured for multi-factor authentication, you can reset multi-factor authentication to configure an authenticator app on a different mobile device.

After you choose to reset multi-factor authentication, the Toast platform will prompt you to configure multi-factor authentication options the next time you sign-in.

You can reset multi-factor authentication for another Toast platform employee account. For example, if you are a restaurant manager and a restaurant employee has lost access to a mobile device used for authentication, you can choose to reset multi-factor authentication for that employee. The Toast platform will prompt the employee to configure multi-factor authentication options the next time that employee signs in.
