Restaurant Info

To review and change settings on the Marketing > Restaurant Info page, you must have the Restaurant Admin > Marketing Info access permission.

The system uses the values that you define on this page to customize a Toast-hosted website for your restaurant, which includes a "Toast Tab" home page and one or more additional pages. Configuring settings on the Restaurant Info page is a prerequisite for activating your restaurant.

Note

The contact information that Toast has on file for your restaurant (name, address, phone number) appears at the top right of this page. If you need to change this information, please contact Toast Support.

Restaurant Info

Setting Options and Description

Restaurant Name

This setting accepts a text string to identify your restaurant. The text appears on your restaurant's Toast Tab web page at http://toasttab.com/{Toast Tab Page value}.

Location Name

This setting accepts an optional text string. The text appears on your restaurant's Toast Tab web pages for this location.

Location Code

This setting defines an optional internal identifier for this location. Typically this code is a three or four character alphanumeric string.

Restaurant Image

This setting uploads an optional image file to display on your restaurant's Toast Tab web pages. The image file must be in PNG format, and for best results it should be 180 pixels square.

To upload an image file, select Choose Image and navigate to the file on your local computer or network. After you save, the image appears on website pages at top left, above the restaurant name and address.

If you do not supply a restaurant image, Toast supplies a generic image such as the following.

Banner Image

This setting uploads an optional image file to display across the top of the menu or online ordering pages that open from your Toast Tab home page. The image file must be in PNG format, and for best results it should be 960 pixels wide.

If you do not supply a banner image, the tops of these pages appear in dark gray (#616161).

Background Image

This setting uploads an optional image file to display behind the main informational frames on your Toast Tab home page. The image file must be in PNG format, and for best results it should be 1000 pixels wide.

If you do not supply a banner image, the tops of these pages appear in gray (#81838F).

Restaurant Description

This setting accepts an optional text string. If provided, the description displays across the top of the menu or online ordering pages that open from your Toast Tab home page.

Website Url

This setting accepts an optional URL for your restaurant's independently hosted website.

Facebook Page Url

This setting accepts an optional URL for your restaurant's Facebook page. If provided, a Facebook icon that is linked to your page displays at the top of the menu or online ordering pages that open from your Toast Tab home page.

Twitter Account

This setting accepts an optional URL for your restaurant's Twitter feed, which has a domain of http://twitter.com.

If provided, a Twitter icon that is linked to your feed displays at the top of the menu or online ordering pages that open from your Toast Tab home page.

Toast Tab Page

The web address of the home page hosted by Toast for your restaurant, which has a domain of http://toasttab.com, followed by a path that uniquely identifies your restaurant.

eGift Card Image

This setting appears only if you use the Toast gift card module. This setting uploads an optional image file to display on your restaurant's eGift cards. The image file must be in PNG format, and for best results it should be 180 pixels square.
