Dining Options Report

The dining options report gives you insight into income generated by each of your defined dining options (dine in, take out, and so on), helping you answer questions such as, "What percentage of my business is dine-in vs. takeout?" For the timeframe and locations you select, this report includes a row for each dining option that generated one or more checks.

Note

In cases where an item on a check has a different dining option than the check does, the system applies the dining option of the check to all of the items on that check.

The dining options report for a single-location restaurant during a one month period. All dollar values are blurred out.

This report includes the following key figures and metrics for each dining option.

Column Computation and Description

Check Qty

The count of all checks with the dining option.

Net Sales

Net sales on checks with the dining option.

Grand Total ≈ Top Numbers Net Sales

Discounts

Discounts on checks with the dining option.

Grand Total ≈ Top Numbers Discounts - Deferred Sales Grand Total Discounts

Gross Sales

Net Sales + Discounts on checks with the dining option.

Grand Total ≈ Top Numbers Gross Sales - Deferred Sales Grand Total Discounts

Taxes

Taxes collected on sales with the dining option.

Grand Total ≈ Top Numbers Taxes

Discrepancies of $0.01 between the grand total for this column and the value on the top numbers report are the result of fractional penny rounding at the item level.

% Qty

Check Qty / Grand Total Check Qty

The percentage that the number of checks with this dining option contributed to the total number of checks.

% Net Sales

Net Sales / Grand Total Net Sales

The percentage that checks with this dining option contributed to net sales.

% Gross Sales

Gross Sales / Grand Total Gross Sales

The percentage that checks with this dining option contributed to gross sales.
