Producing the Accounting Overview

You can generate the set of accounting overview reports for the period of time and locations you select, and then review, download, or print its key data and metrics. For the accounting overview, you specify one timeframe and one location (or set of locations) to include. Comparisons between timeframes or sets of locations are not available.

To produce the accounting overview reports you must have the Financial Accounts access permission. Then, follow these steps.

  1. In the Toast administration back-end select Analytics & Reports > Accounting > Overview. The date range selector for the Accounting Overview appears by default.

  2. Select a date range, then, if your business includes multiple locations, select the location(s) to include.

  3. Select Submit.

    The system generates and displays reports of your top numbers, sales categories, and deferred sales on the Sales Summary tab.

  4. To review dimensional and vertical reports that provide additional detail, choose these tabs:

  5. To download all of the reports in .xlsx format, select Download on any tab.

  6. To print the report (or reports) shown on the current tab to a printer or .pdf file, select Print.
