Choosing a Rewards Lookup Method

You can look up a guest's rewards account on a POS device using their name, email address, or phone number. You can decide whether you want restaurant employees to be able to lookup rewards accounts or if you want to require guests to present their rewards cards.

To configure the rewards lookup process

  1. Access the Toast administration back-end and then select Payments > Payment Options.

  2. In the Rewards section, choose the option you want to enable for Lookup Account.

    If you choose Yes, allow lookup by name and email/phone number, the Lookup button appears on the Apply Rewards Card screen. You can click the Lookup button to search for the guest's rewards account using their name, email address, or phone number.

    If you choose No, customer must present a rewards card at point of sale, the guest or restaurant employee must either key in the rewards card number on the keypad or click the Scan button to scan the QR code.
