Digital receipt options

If a guest does not have a known receipt preference, the POS app displays a receipt choice screen. The Email and Text options direct the guest to a sub-screen where they can enter contact info (or choose to go back).

This screen has a different layout for handheld devices.

If a guest does have a known receipt preference, the POS app directs them to that screen (email, text). If the guest's contact information is known, the POS app enters the guest's information in the input field with a masked version (for example, seb*****@someemail.com). The guest can go back in the workflow to choose a different receipt type.

The Always print a copy of the receipt feature is still available. When that feature is enabled, a receipt is printed even if the guest selects Email, Text, or No Receipt. (If the guest selects Email or Text, they will also receive the digital receipt.)

Guest Feedback and Rewards Signup (which follow Receipt Options) use any email address or phone number provided in a prior step in order to avoid making the guest enter the same information repeatedly.

POS app version 2.44 changes
