Excluding Menus, Menu Groups, and Menu Items from the Rewards Program

You can configure rewards program exclusions at the menu, menu group, and menu item levels. Guests will not accrue rewards points when they purchase items that are excluded from the rewards program.

To exclude a menu from the rewards program

  1. Access the Toast administration back-end and then select Menu > Advanced Properties.

  2. Select the menu you want to exclude from the rewards program. The menu's details page opens in a new tab.

  3. Locate the Advanced Properties > Rewards section.

  4. For the Exclude items in this menu from the rewards program? option, select Yes.

  5. Save and publish your changes.

    Guests will not accrue rewards points when they purchase items from this menu.

To exclude a menu group from the rewards program

  1. Access the Toast administration back-end and then select Menu > Advanced Properties.

  2. Expand the menu that contains the menu group you want to exclude from the rewards program.

  3. Select the menu group to open its details page.

  4. Locate the Advanced Properties > Rewards section.

  5. For the Inherit Rewards Config from Dinner Menu? option, select No, specify rewards config here.

  6. When the Exclude items in this group from the rewards program? option appears, select Yes.

  7. Save and publish your changes.

    Guests will not accrue rewards points when they purchase items from this menu group.

To exclude a menu item from the rewards program

  1. Access the Toast administration back-end and then select Menu > Advanced Properties.

  2. Expand the menu to locate the item you want to exclude from the rewards program.

  3. Select the menu item to open its details page.

  4. Locate the Advanced Properties > Rewards section.

  5. For the Inherit Rewards Config from Dinner Menu? option, select No, specify rewards config here.

  6. When the Exclude items in this group from the rewards program? option appears, select Yes.

  7. Save and publish your changes.

    Guests will not accrue rewards points when they purchase this item.
