Payment summary

The payment summary screen always appears for credit card payments, but only appears for cash payments if the Thank You Dialog option is enabled for your restaurant in the Toast administration back-end. This screen displays a quick summary of the payment the guest has just completed. If a cash payment had change due, that is displayed here. If the payment was for less than the outstanding balance of the check, the remaining balance is displayed here. And, if the guest signed up for rewards or had a preexisting rewards account, rewards information is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

POS app version 2.44 changes

  • Previous versions of the Toast POS app did not display change due information for cash payments.
