Creating a new modifier in a modifier group

Follow the instructions below to create new modifiers for a modifier group.

To create new modifiers for a modifier group

  1. In the Modifiers table, enter the name of the first modifier in the first row.

  2. To add another modifier to the modifier group, select Add modifier. A new row is added to the table where you can specify the details of the next modifier.

  3. If your modifiers are priced individually, the Modifiers table has a Price column where you can enter a price for each modifier you create.

If you enter a minus sign before a modifier's price, the value you enter is deducted from the menu item's price. Consider using this method if a guest wants to remove a costly ingredient such as meat from a pizza or salad.

  4. Select Save to save your modifier changes.

  5. Select Save again to return to the menu builder home page.

  6. If you are ready for guests and employees to see these menu changes, select Publish all changes, then select Publish again in the Confirm Publish dialog box. See Understanding when to publish your menu for more information.
