Types of Multi-Location Email Campaigns

You can choose from two types of email campaigns:

  • Automated campaigns: You activate an automated campaign to send recurring emails to a set of guests across all the restaurant locations in your management group. This set of guests called an audience segment is calculated for each type of automated campaign by applying certain criteria to your management group's guest email list. This email list is a de-duplicated aggregate of guest email lists from the individual restaurant locations that are part of the management group. See Understanding Audience Segments for Automated Campaigns for more information.

    Important

You can only send automated campaign emails on behalf of your management group. You cannot send them on behalf of a specific restaurant location only.

You can customize an automated campaign template with branding and content pertaining to your management group as a whole. See this Toast Central article for instructions on building an automated campaign.

  • One-time campaigns: You use one-time campaigns to send a single email containing updates or announcements. You can send one-time campaign emails to guests of a specific restaurant location, or to guests at all locations in your management group. Depending on your choice of location, you can customize a one-time campaign template with branding and content that is location-specific or that applies to the management group as a whole. See this Toast Central article for instructions on building a one-time email campaign.
