How BOGO and combo discounts are applied in returned order data

When the Toast platform applies a BOGO or combo discount, it updates the menu item selections to reflect the discount.

To do this, the Toast platform might split the original menu item selections.

For example, an order includes two menu item selections - one for three bagels, and the other for a cup of coffee. The applied combo discount offers a bagel and coffee for a reduced price. The returned order object splits the bagel menu selection item. The bagel that the discount applies to is listed separately from the other two bagels.
