Restaurant Operations 2.52

This section provides information about changes that affect the way restaurant employees take and fulfill guest orders.

Improvements

The following notes provide information about new and improved functionality.

Check details display total quantity of items in an order

The total quantity of items is displayed in a persistent bar at the bottom of the check details screen. The total quantity does not include modifier quantities. The show total quantity of items in an order configuration can be enabled in the Toast administration back-end.

Fixes

The following notes provide information about new and improved functionality.

Adding special requests to an order no longer causes the Toast POS app to crash

Very infrequently, adding special requests to an order could cause the Toast POS app to crash. This has been fixed.

Items with modifiers sent to separate prep stations now print item labels at modifier prep stations using item label printers

An issue existed where if an item had a modifier sent to a different prep station with an item label printer, the label would only print at the top-level-item’s prep station and not the modifier’s prep station. This issue has been fixed.

Deleting a size no longer prevents a size/sequence pricing configuration from being saved and published

The following issue existed with size/sequence pricing:

  • If you deleted the Nth size price, where N was not the last size, you were prevented from saving the size/sequence pricing configuration.

  • In order to save, you had to fill in the Nth size price again. However, after saving, the sizes after the Nth size became blank.

This issue left the configuration in an invalid state and prevented the menu from being saved and published. This issue has been resolved.
