Payments APIs

To make Toast API requests, you need to include an OAuth 2 bearer authentication token. For more information, see Authentication and restaurant access.

Payments APIs hostname

The hosted checkout integration uses the payments APIs. The payments APIs use a different hostname from other Toast APIs, such as the orders APIs and menus APIs to maintain security. You use the different API request hostname with the following APIs:

• Customers API

• Payment intents API

• Payment methods API

• Setup intents API

You get the hostname for the payments APIs from the Toast integrations team.
