To redeem credits for guests, you apply the value of a guest's available credits as payment for a check. If you have enabled the customer credits feature for your restaurant, Customer Credits is an option in the Other payment types on the payment screen for orders.
The Toast platform applies credit as a form of discount. The portion of a check's price that you pay for with credits is not taxed. If you pay the entire price of a check with credits, no sale occurs and the Toast platform does not print a receipt.
Redeeming credits as check payment

On the payment screen for an order, select the Other payment type.

Select Customer Credits from the list of payment types.

Enter the currency amount of the credit that the guest wants to apply to the purchase.

Select Redeem.

If there is a remaining balance due, complete the payment using other payment types.
