You can choose to set up your multi-factor authentication using a QR code or SMS. To learn how to set it up using a QR code, see Configuring multi-factor authentication using an authenticator app.
To use SMS for multi-factor authentication:

From a browser, go to https://pos.toasttab.com and click Login to access Toast Web login page.

Enter your username and password. Click Log In.

In the Select Your Account window, click Try another method.

In the Other Methods window, select SMS.

Enter your phone number and click Continue to receive a 6-digit code in a text message on your phone.

In the Verify Your Identity window, enter the 6-digit code you received by text message and click Continue.

Copy the recovery code and save it. You can use this code to log in without your device. Select the I have safely recorded this number checkbox and click Continue to sign in to Toast Web.
When you sign in to Toast Web subsequently, you are prompted to enter the 6-digit code received by text message.
