Text alerts overview


The text alerts feature is in limited release.

The text alert feature allows restaurant employees to request immediate assistance from managers and support staff by sending text messages in real time from Toast POS devices if critical safety or operational issues arise.

Recipients can receive text alerts on their mobile phones or on WiFi-enabled personal devices like tablets using a VoIP phone number.

You must have the Manager > Send Notifications access permission to enable and manage text alerts for your restaurant.
