Employee jobs

You can use jobs to configure access permissions and other employee configuration settings for groups of employees who have similar roles at your Toast platform restaurant.

You can configure employee jobs in the Toast administration back-end. To open the Jobs configuration page, choose Employees > Jobs

When you assign a job to an employee, that employee inherits all the permissions that are assigned to the job. The access permissions for the employee match the access permissions that you configure for the job role. If needed, you can override specific permissions for an individual employee.

To override a job-defined permission for an individual employee

  1. Open the Employees > [user name] > Edit User > Jobs and Permissions page for a employee.

  2. Choose Override in the Override? column for each permission that you want to override.
