The following sections describe updates included in the Toast POS app release version 2.73.
You can now update orders from third-party services, such as DoorDash™, GrubHub™, or Uber Eats™, through the Orders Hub on your Toast POS device. Changes made to third-party orders using the Orders Hub only show on your Toast POS application and in Toast Web, and are not reflected in the order's originating third-party service.
Toast kiosk devices now support the ability to increase or decrease modifier pricing based on the size of the menu item selected.

This feature is in limited release. |
Restaurant employees with the 1.8 View Other Employees Orders permission will now see an order status outline color on tables other than their own. For more information about table order statuses, see Creating Service Areas and Table Setup.
To see the + New Order button in the action bar of the table management, payment terminal, and All Checks screens, employees now require the 1.2 Quick Order Mode permission.
Label text on the table management screen now wraps and shortens as needed to avoid text overlap and to increase legibility.
Previously, the menu item search used a limited amount of space on the Toast POS screen. Now, when using the menu item search, the search module uses all available screen space.
When a table’s check has a 0 guest count, the table's info panel on the table management screen now shows the server assignment and “0” for the guest count.
When a restaurant employee opens the All Checks screen from the table management mode, the screen defaults to the Paid Checks tab.
When restaurant employees search for checks on the All Checks and payment terminal screens, checks are displayed grouped by check status.
Previously, if your restaurant used Open View, and a modifier was selected while entering an order, the POS showed a blank screen. Now, when selecting a modifier and using Open View, modifiers are displayed, and the ordering workflow operates as expected.
Open View is a new POS ordering mode that displays order input and modifiers differently than before. The classic Toast POS ordering mode is now referred to as Focused View.
