The following sections describe updates included in the Toast POS app release version 2.80.
Toast kiosk order modifiers now display as part of an order. Previously on kiosk orders, selected modifiers appeared on orders as their own line item rather than part of an order.

The loyalty dialog for kiosk orders no longer loops indefinitely. Previously, orders that had item-based rewards applied to an empty cart without items caused the loyalty dialog to loop.

When a modifier group max selection is set, and a guest reaches the max modifier selection threshold, the guest is now auto-advanced to a new modifier group.

The kiosk floating navigation bar has been modified by separating the Start Over button from the navigation bar to show more of the menu.

The kiosk setup page in Toast Web has been enhanced to increase ease of use when you configure your kiosk experience.

When splitting a check, you can no longer move items to a check that has been paid or is closed.

After a guest's tax exemption code has been added to a check, a new Remove button now appears on the Enter customer tax exemption number dialog that allows you to remove their code.

You can now print an activation receipt with the sale of a gift card. An activation receipt is a small receipt that confirms a gift card has been activated. The receipt includes the following details:

Last four digits of the gift card number that was activated

The amount added to the gift card

Timestamp of the sale

Check number for the transaction that sold the gift card
To enable gift card activation receipts, navigate to Payments > Gift cards and select Adjust receipt settings from the blue banner at the top of the gift card setup screen. Once activated, an activation receipt will print with each gift card sale.
