Verify order routing to prep stations

For efficient kitchen operation, orders for menu items and modifiers must go to the correct prep stations.

To review and update menu item assignments to prep stations you must have the Restaurant Admin > Edit Full Menu access permission. Then, follow these steps.

  1. Access the Toast administration back-end.

  2. Choose Menus > Menu management > Advanced properties. An interactive grid with rows for each restaurant menu appears.

  3. Expand the grid to show the menu. Repeat to show menu items, modifier groups, modifiers, and options.

  4. To show prep station assignments, use the Show/Hide drop down to select Prep Stations.

  5. To change a prep station assignment, click in the Prep Stations cell. Select the name of a prep station to select or clear its assignment.

  6. Save and publish your changes.
