Reimbursing drivers and configuring driver cash banks

Important

Driver reimbursement is only available for first-party delivery.

You can choose to reimburse delivery drivers for the wear and tear of their personal vehicle.

To reimburse delivery drivers

1. Access Toast Web.

2. Choose Takeout & delivery > Availability > Takeout/delivery to open the Takeout/delivery page.

3. In the Driver Reimbursement section, the reimbursement setting is set to No, do not reimburse drivers as the default. To allow reimbursement, select Yes, reimburse drivers for each delivery order completed.

4. Enter the reimbursement amount.

5. Select the Save button to save your changes.

You can also choose to configure a starting cash balance for a delivery driver. At the end of the driver's shift, their cash bank is returned to the restaurant and counted as cash in hand.

To configure a driver cash bank

1. Access Toast Web.

2. Choose Takeout & delivery > Availability > Takeout/delivery to open the Takeout/delivery page.

3. In the Driver Cash Management section, select Yes, assign driver bank for reporting. Enter the starting amount.
