Scheduling future orders

If you choose Yes, guests may schedule orders, guests are able to place orders through your Toast Online Ordering website or the Local by Toast app for immediate fulfillment or future fulfillment. Guests can select either the Order now or Schedule for later option while placing an online order.

  • If your guest chooses Order now, they can choose to place an order now for immediate fulfillment.

  • If your guest chooses Schedule for later, they can choose to place an order for future fulfillment. Using the date picker, they can choose a future day and time for their order. They can place an order up to the number of days listed in the Max Future Scheduled Order Date (Days) setting.

For example, if the default date range is 14 days, your Toast Online Ordering website and the Local by Toast app will show dates up to 14 days from the current date.

If you choose No, all orders will be fulfilled as soon as possible, guests can only be able to place orders through your Toast Online Ordering website or the Local by Toast app for immediate fulfillment. The Schedule for later button is disabled.

Scheduling future orders outside ordering hours

If you choose Yes, guests may schedule orders, guests can schedule future orders outside of online ordering hours. They can only place orders for future fulfillment, not immediate fulfillment. On the Toast Online Ordering website and Toast TakeOut, the Order now button is disabled.

If you choose No, all orders will be fulfilled as soon as possible, guests cannot schedule or place orders for immediate or future fulfillment. They can only browse your online order menu. They cannot place orders until the restaurant begins their online ordering hours.
