Pricing strategies overview

When pricing your menu entities, you can choose from a variety of pricing strategies. This section describes those pricing strategies and tells you how to configure them. Each pricing strategy description begins with a list of the menu entity types to which the pricing strategy can be applied. For example, sequence pricing can be applied to modifier groups while time-specific prices can be applied to menu groups and menu items (including modifier item references).

Important

This section focuses on the configuration of each pricing strategy itself and assumes you have read the Pricing menu items and Pricing modifiers sections and are familiar with the overall approach to pricing menu items and modifiers. For example, it assumes you know the difference between pricing menu items and modifiers at the group level versus pricing them individually. Also, it assumes you understand the structure of a modifier and that modifiers have an underlying modifier item reference that is effectively the same as a menu item.
