Confirming changes and publishing

Every change Toast IQ makes to your menus follows the same pattern:

  1. Toast IQ describes exactly what it is about to change and asks you to confirm.

  2. After you confirm, Toast IQ applies the change to your menu configuration.

  3. Like any other menu edit, the change must be published before it takes effect on the POS, kiosk, and online ordering channels. See Understanding when to publish your menu.

If a request is ambiguous — for example, you ask to update the Chocolate Donut and there are several items by that name — Toast IQ lists every matching entity and asks you to choose which one(s) to change before making any edit.
